cabanillas family vacation photos // merida, yucatan, mexico

In addition to my last post, here are just a *few* photos from when we were exploring around Mexico together… a happy family & their very happy photographer. To say I am lucky, is a vast understatement.

Feeling like family with someone else’s family is one of the many privileges of my job… and vacationing with this lot really felt like family. We explored some amazing prehistoric cenotes & ancient Mayan ruins on the Yucatan Peninsula, stayed a few days in the most incredible, bustling, beautiful Spanish colonial town of Merida (I’ve tried to come up with a town in the U.S. to try & compare this city to, but it is truly unlike any other city I’ve ever visited) in an architecturally award-winning home, and we ended in luxury at The Grand Mayan resort in Playa del Carmen. It was a whirlwind of a trip that was everything I could’ve hoped for… I know I had a good time, and I hope that they love their photos!
