mexico // abegg adventures on film

When Hachi was 15 months old, we took her to Mexico! I was already scheduled to go and photograph a wedding there with my friend Jillian Mitchell, and of course used it as an excuse to introduce her to the land that I love. It was the first time that we’d ever gone on vacation without Madeline, so it was often tinged with a bit of sadness for Michael and I… but otherwise we got to watch Hachi nurture her deep love for guacamole and chips, we discovered that her love language is tortillas, and we found out (again) that one could never tire of watching a baby run around in the sand for hours on end.

For me, Mexico holds many gifts, and it brings me great pride to know that it is the first country outside of the U.S. that both Madeline and Hachi visited… and I couldn’t think of a better gateway into their futures as world travelers and adventurers!
